For those of you in Westwood tonight or are looking for an alternative event to the Twilight Concert Series at the Santa Monica Pier, we just may have your perfect go-to.
As part of a summer series called ALSO I LIKE TO ROCK the Hammer museum, along with KCRW offer live music for free Thursdays 7-10. The Eastern Conference Champions are friends of WELO and gained some notoriety when one of their tracks. “A Million Miles an Hour” was featured in The Twilight Saga: Eclipse. Since then they have kept rocking, doing an national tour and pumping out a beautiful new album entitled Speak-Ahh. We look forward to hearing more from Joshua Ostrander and Greg Lyons and Melissa Dougherty.
UPDATE** ECC is set to hit the stage at 8:00 p.m**

Also jamming tonight are British rockers Graffiti6 were formed in 2008 around the talents of singer-songwriter Jamie Scott and DJ, writer and producer Tommy D., who has worked with the likes of Jay-Z and Kanye West. Together they craft a heady, upbeat blend of soulful electro-pop that falls somewhere in between the Beta Band, Morcheeba, and Gnarls Barkley. The duo’s “psychedelic Northern Soul” is a feast for the ears.
